Pursuit Line: Numbered between four and ten starships.Supported capital ships by engaging the enemy in range of the capital ship, but outside of the opponent's effective range to damage the capital ship. Attack Line: Numbered between three to six starships.Battle Line: Comprised of 2-20 starships, commanded by a Line Captain.Deployed to suppress star systems or run down an enemy force. Battle Squadron: Centered on a Star Destroyer, with two attack lines and a pursuit line for an average of eighteen ships.Naval Squadron: Comprised of 4 lines, commanded by an Squadron Commander.Systems Force: Comprised of 4 squadrons, commanded by a Commodore.Fleet: Comprised of 3-6 systems forces, commanded by a Fleet Admiral.Sector Group: Comprised of 4 fleets, commanded by a Moff and High Admiral.Oversector Command: Comprised of 2+ sector groups, commanded by a Grand Moff and Grand Admiral.The three comma-like shapes are magatama, arranged in a pattern resembling mitsudomoe.History Structure Unit Structure "Sakura" are Japanese cherry blossoms, considered one of the national flowers of Japan, the other being the chrysanthemum of the Imperial Seal of Japan, which was placed on the prow of capital ships.The only current exceptions are Zuikaku, Shoukaku, Taihou (these three have avian themed clothing) and Agano.
